Pierre-Etienne
Pion is 15. He’s in 3°G. He lives in Marsat. He has a sister, Marie-Caroline,
and a dog called Fosco.
In September
last year, Pierre-Etienne broke his finger. As a result, he was unable to
practice his favourite sports: tennis, Ping-Pong, and golf for two months. So
he turned to his other hobby: robotics.
He
is a fervent reader of Science et Vie
Junior, so he decided to enter the competition that this magazine proposes
each month. He used the electronic kit that he received for Christmas, and
built a brilliant machine which is able to sort pencils, the Cleapen.
He
filled in a registration form to explain his invention. He beat twelve other candidates
and got the first prize: €1000!
He
really enjoys robotics and electronics and wishes to become an engineer.
He
has two projects today: to build an engine able to find golf balls, and an even
more ambitious (secret) project involving one of his close friends…
We
wish him good luck for the national Science
et Vie Junior competition in April in Paris!
